On August 5th the Alternative Wedding Group (AWG) coordinated the wedding of Ashley and Abu at the luxurious Belfry Hotel and Resort. The couple met staff at the AWG at a wedding fayre earlier this year and instantly made a connection. The couple contracted the AWG team pretty much instantly after the first initial consultation to coordinate all activities on their special day, and the company gladly accepted.

The wedding began with the coordination of the wedding rehearsal itself that took place on the Belfry grounds. Alongside the rehearsal the team were onsite coordinating the furniture delivery and prepping for what was going to be a very busy day ahead, The Wedding. An early morning start saw the team onsite at 9am ensuring all vendors were working vigorously to a tight timescale. Working with over 15 vendors, it was a very difficult task to deliver a flawless wedding, a task that required great organization and outstanding attention to detail.

The day started with a beautiful ceremony that saw the ten strong bridesmaids and groomsmen enter the room to the warm sounds of a live band courtesy of ‘Diversity Jazz Band’. The room was elegantly decorated that featured 160 chiavari chairs, 62 vases with floating candles that covered the room and a aisle that was covered in a stunning white aisle runner with a plethora of rose pedals scattered down either side, fit for any beautiful bride to walk down. The ceremony lasted about an hour before the guests were led to the drinks reception where they were greeted with tasty canapés and a glass of prosecco. The soothing sounds of leading saxophonist, O’dell filled the room as guests mingled and conversed about how amazing the ceremony was.

The guests were then welcomed into the dining room where they were wowed by the rooms decor Tables were draped in beautiful rose-gold linen table cloths and a gorgeous floral candelabra’s stole the attention for all the right reasons, courtesy of Design Elegance. The elevated top table did not disappoint. It was dressed again in a stunning rose gold table cloth that was accompanied by a gorgeous 8ft x 8ft flower wall back drop provided by Posh Walls.

Following the wedding breakfast guests were able to dance the night away whilst being entertained by live music, again from the Diversity Jazz Band. An evening buffet was served as well as plethora of desserts and cakes that was hand baked by the talented Sugared Velvet. If that wasn’t enough guest were also treated to unlimited crepes and ice-cream from The Little Camion crepe van specifically brought in to service the wedding celebration.

Overall, it was a beautiful day from start to finish, which was well organized, and put together. The Bride was elated with how it all came together on the day and was very thankful to the AWG team for all their hard work.

“It was great fun working with the couple and we are so pleased they entrusted such an important part of their special day with us. The wedding was truly spectacular and I am pleased that the couple were happy with our service. We wish them all the best in their marriage”. Said Tru Powell, Founder and Managing Director at AWG.
